The Surgery Pod

The Surgery Pod is located in a private room at the Practice and enables patients without clinical supervision to perform their own health checks, such as blood pressure, weight, pulse, height and alcohol usage. These checks are then instantaneously updated into your patient records and can be immediately viewed by clinical staff.

The Surgery Pod allows you to perform these simple checks at your own convenience, without making an appointment during our opening hours and therefore allows you to spend more high value time with the clinician where necessary.

You no longer need to arrange appointments or attend at inconvenient times for simple checks, these can now be done when it suits you. You may wish to do your BP before you go in to see the clinician, or you can come in at any time to use it.

What you can do in the surgery pod:

• Take your blood pressure.

• Take your height, weight and calculate your BMI.

• Enter information regarding your lifestyle, i.e; smoking, alcohol, exercise and diet.

• Carry out a series of stress and anxiety questionnaires.

• And much more!

It is very simple to use and on screen instructions take you through the process. However, if you did have difficulty you can ask a member of the reception team who would be happy to help you.
